PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, AFS Amla was switched over to the Central Schools Scheme with effect Depot Higher Secondary school.1st May 1964 from Narendra Higher Secondary School, Amla which was hitherto known as Amla. The School started in 1953 as Narendra Higher Secondary School, Amla, and got first recognition in the year 1956 from MP Board. It catered to students up to Class XII Science, Commerce, and Humanities Streams. It got permanent recognition in 1965.
